Melody Hounds (Infant - 2 years and 3 - 5 years)
Provide a delightful and joyous way for you to sing, dance and spend quality time with your child. Teaches parents the most effective way to enhance their child’s musical development by incorporating music into everyday life. Classes are based on a new PBS curriculum-based puppet interactive TV show called, Lomax, the Hound of Music™ coming soon. This Combo class offers a 1/2 hour of Art activity in our craft room followed by a 1/2 hour of fun in our gymnastics center where instructors will guide parent and child through our preschool scale equipment circuit to develop strength, flexibility and social skills, followed by a 1/2 hour of swim class where instructors work with children to introduce basic swimming skills, kicking and breathing techniques. (There is 15 minutes in the schedule to allow for locker room changing time. Staff will supervise children as they move from class to class) Parents will drop children off at the Craft Room and pick them up at the Pool.
Using a variety of materials, children will have fun creating arts and crafts projects that are tailored to their developing abilities. Two sections available: 3 and 4 years old or 4 and 5 years old.
Space Wars Legos (4 - 6 years) New!
Spend time building with Legos to make creations based on your favorite characters from "A Galaxy Far, Far Away."
Adventure Legos (Ages 5 - 8) New!
Grap your whip and your trusty side kick as we create Lego constructions from our favorite Adventure Heroes! We'll swing into action and make sure we save the day!
Architecture (7 - 8 years)
Here’s a great way for children to learn what an architect does. Students spend time using a computer to create a site plan and then use Legos to construct the project. Projects become more challenging as students progress through the merit color levels for this class.
Brick Lab (5 - 8 years)
A creative outlet for kids just wanting to build with Legos! During the class, students listen to a story and learn the fundamentals of structure. Kids are then invited to build a structural interpretation of the story. Kids work independently or in teams.
Chess (5 - 12 years)
This instructor-led course teaches students how to play chess on the computer. Lessons are designed for novices, although kids of varying skill levels will be combined in one class to promote challenge and learning. Beginner lessons start with basics, including setting up board and moving pieces. Advanced lessons include game strategy and chess rotation.
Chess Club (9 years and older)
All levels of players, from beginner to masters, are welcome to join this group on Friday nights, 7 – 10pm. Play, teach and learn is the goal of this group. Free for Members and open to the community!

Get Your Food On! (Ages 7 - 10 years) New!
This program will teach the importance of eating healthy and being active.
Class will begin with a fun and educational activity that will get them moving. Then, they will
learn how fun food can be by taste testing different foods, learning how to read a food label,
discovering the Food Guide Pyramid and so much more! At the end of class they will make a
healthy snack based on what they learned that day and then enjoy their creation.
HTML & the Internet (Ages 9-12)
The student will begin by learning computer codes and web page design. Basics of creating web pages and formatting along with inserting hyperlinks, graphics and pictures are what make this course exiting and fun.
Little Scientists (Gr. K to Gr. 3)
Hands-on exploration of the wonders of science. Tame experiments, fascinating discoveries and real learning await your youngster.
Mad Madison Science (Ages 6 - 12) New!
This class will explore the crazy science of the world in the style of MythBusters, Bill Nye the Science Guy and other great science shows. Students will get to gake home parts of their experiments and be able to do them again at home (with mom's OK first, of course!)
Mindstorm Robotics (10 years and up)
Students learn techniques that are used in the real world of science, engineering and design. Students design, build and program fully functional models such as a humanoid, an animal, and vehicle robots that see, hear, and make decisions. Participants work together in a hands-on, problem-solving way.
Music Keyboard Class (Ages 6 to 12)
Proven group format offers a fun approach to help kids learn to read music. Many different activities in each class help teach the children: timing, fingering, music theory and much more. Kids use state of the art Casio keyboards and play in ensembles
Saturday Morning Craft Workshops (Ages 4 to 8)
Add a creative outlet to your Saturday morning agenda. These one-time arts and crafts workshops cover seasonal themes that provide 1 1/2 hours of stimulating fun. All workshops are held from 11:30am-1:00pm.
Super Hero Legos (Ages 5 - 8) New!
It's time to go UP, UP and AWAY with your favorite neighborhood comic book heroes as well as maybe a few villans thrown in! Builders will be creating works from the most famous comic books around.
All Day Scrapbooking Crop
Registration required at the Welcome Center. Bring your photos and any personal scrapbooking projects you'd like to work on.
Chess Club
